THE TEN SECRET JOYS OF THE MASTER.

At first the music is as if muffled, a murmur of the wind
behind impenetrable veils.
000. NOTHING ONLY EXISTS, AND IS ALL THINGS.

After a pause of deeply-rooted Silence:
00. THERE IS NO LIMIT.

Silence again, as if the very bowels of Nature were thrilled with stillness:
0. THE SUM OF ALL IS BOUNDLESS LIGHT.

Now there is suddenly a gathering together of the essence of Silence; it is as focussed at a Point:
1. THOU ARE THAT WHICH THOU CHOOSEST TO THINK THYSELF, IMMUNE TO ALL, FOR IT IS NOTHING BUT A POINT OF VIEW.

Now there bursts forth a Wave of Light, and there rolls forth in majesty of Thunder:
2. THY NAME, WHICH IS THY WORD, IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THY WILL, WHOSE MODE OF ACTION CONSTITUTES EXISTENCE. CHANCE.

The Music swiftly sinks to a low brooding rapture, solemn and slow:
3. THAT WHICH THOU CREATEST IS THINE UNDERSTANDING OF THY LOVE.

Then comes a sudden shaking and confusion, as if the harmony were broken up into innumerable fragments; clashing together, nor is there any speech articulate; until a fearful blast peals forth, a trumpeting of Majesty. But within the blare of the tempest sounds a Voice steady and stern, yet full of peace and kindliness
4. THE NECCESSITY OF THE UNIVERSE IS THE MEASURE OF THY RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Now follows martial music, wild and full of the rushing of Fire:
5. THE MOVEMENT OF THE UNIVERSE IS THE FULFILMENT OF THINE ENERGY.

And this is blended with the echo of all former voices and their music, so that the whole Abyss is filled with their orchestration to one Symphony.
6. THE ORDER OF THE UNIVERSE IS THE EXPRESSION OF THY RAPTURE OF BEAUTY.

This fades away into a deep and tender tune, like nightingales beside a waterfall; and the voice comes twittering:
7. THE SENSIBILITY OF THE UNIVERSE IS THE TRIUMPH OF THINE IMAGINATION.

Quick thrills inform the air, the perpetual quire of myriads of young boys and girls:
8. THE MUTABILITY OF THE UNIVERSE IS THE SPLENDOUR OF THINE INGENUITY.

And now again all sound is gathered into one, an endless monotone of power impregnable, like the trumpeting of an elephant in Spring:
9. THE STABILITY OF THE UNIVERSE IS CHANGE, THE ASSURANCE OF THY TRUTH.

Then, last of all, the soul of Music takes the shape of a pure Maiden's voice, and she sings:
10. THE PERFECTION OF THE UNIVERSE IS THE REALIZATION OF THE IDEAL OF THY PASSION.

Lo, in the Silence following is my spirit so enlightened at its apprehension of these Secret Joys of the Master, that I was once more lost to myself and lived again for a little while in Him.

What Would Cthulu Do? [10 Mar 2002|03:05pm]
fwd: Anonymous

Many folks, when faced with a difficult choice, say that they always ask themselves, "WWJD?" As we all know, WWJD? is "What Would Jesus Do?" Now, for those of non-Christian religious persuasions, we have......

WWAD? (A= Artemis) Turn him into a stag to be torn apart by his barking hounds.
WWAD? (A= Athena) Stare them down, then beat the crap out of them.....in a logical manner.
WWAD? (A= Apollo) Test their musical skills...in a fair contest.
WWAD? (A= Aphrodite) Don't you mean "Who" would Aphrodite do?
WWAD? (A= Astarte) Make love AND war.
WWBD? (B= Bacchus) Get them drunk and turn them into dolphins.
WWBD? (B= Britannia) Rule!
WWBD? (B= Buddha) Does it matter? If you are enlightened it doesn't. If you are not enlightened it--still doesn't.
WWCD? (C= Ceres) Discuss it calmly while holding a scythe.
WWCD? (C= Ceridwen) Stir it up one more time.
WWCD? (C= Chaos) No one is quite sure...but it will be messy and..... interesting.
WWCD? (C= Coyote) Lose your penis gambling, and spend weeks conning everyone in sight to get it back.
WWCD? (C= Cthulu) Does it matter? No one will survive anyway.
WWDD? (D= Demeter) Lay waste to your lands if you don't have her daughter back by 10 PM! (And don't even THINK of laying a hand on her!)
WWDD? (D= Discordia) Here...have an apple...IF you are the fairest!
WWED? (E= Ereshkigal) Strip them and hang them on a hook to rot.
WWETD? (ET= The Elueusinians) It's a mystery!
WWFD? (F= Flora) Say it with flowers.
WWFD? (F= Fortuna) Play the lottery.
WWFD? (F= Freya) Patiently wait things out, then make herself indispensable to the winner.
WWGD? (G= Gaia) Remind them to worship the ground they stand on.
WWGD? (G= Ganesha) Saddle up his rat.
WWGSD? (GS= Grandmother Spider) Send them off on a heroic quest, then hold a sewing circle.
WWHD? (H= Hades) Tell them to go to Hell.
WWHD? (H= Hecate) Show them the right path...or is it the left?
WWHD? (H= Hera) She'd get jealous.
WWHD? (H= Hercules) He'd labor to come up with an answer.
WWHD? (H= Herne) Lead them on a Wild Hunt!
WWJD? (J= Janus) Look the other way.
WWJD? (J= Jupiter) Strike them down with a bolt from the blue.
WWKD? (K= Kali) Tear out their beating heart, drink their blood and dance on their trembling corpse. Then wear parts as jewelry.
WWKD? (K= Kwan Yin) Show them some mercy.
WWLD? (L= Lilith) Make mad, passionate love to them . . . and kill them in their sleep.
WWLD? (L= Loki) Turn left at the next street, buy five chickens, "borrow" some jewelry, change into a seal, & steal some apples. For starters.
WWLD? (L= Luna) Moon them!
WWMD? (M= Mithras) Cut the bull!
WWMD? (M= Mars) Suit up for battle.
WWMD? (M= Mercury) Change his mind... again.
WWND? (N= Narcissus) Huh? Is there someone else here?
WWOD? (O= Odin) Come up with an outrageously intricate plan (which fails every time) and win through improvisation and trickery.
WWPD? (P= Pan) Tell them to pipe down or f*** off.
WWPD? (P= Pele) Insist on a virgin sacrifice, then blow everyone up, anyway.
WWPD? (P= Pluto) Hump Minnie's leg.
WWPD? (P= Priapus) Rise to the occasion.
WWSD? (S= Sekhmet) Drown her sorrows in blood.
WWSD? (S= Set) You don't want to know, but it won't be nice.
WWSD? (S= Shiva) Smoke some weed and dance the night away.
WWTD? (T= Thor) Hammer it out.
WWVD? (V= Vesta) Keep the home fires burning.
WWVD? (V= Vulcan) Live long and prosper.
WWYD? (Y= Yahweh) "I hear you, I hear you. Stop with the burning bush already! OY!"
WWZD? (Z= Zeus) By Jove, he'd flirt with the girls!

GREYFACE

In the year 1166 B.C., a malcontented hunchbrain by the name of Greyface, got it into his head that the universe was as humorless as he, and he began to teach that play was sinful because it contradicted the ways of Serious Order. "Look at all the order about you," he said. And from that, he deluded honest men to believe that reality was a straightjacket affair and not the happy romance as men had known it.

It is not presently understood why men were so gullible at that particular time, for absolutely no one thought to observe all the disorder around them and conclude just the opposite. But anyway, Greyface and his followers took the game of playing at life more seriously than they took life itself and were known even to destroy other living beings whose ways of life differed from their own.

The unfortunate result of this is that mankind has since been suffering from a psychological and spiritual imbalance. Imbalance causes frustration, and frustration causes fear. And fear makes a bad trip. Man has been on a bad trip for a long time now.

It is called THE CURSE OF GREYFACE.

-----------------------------------------

ERISIAN MAGIC RITUAL:
THE TURKEY CURSE

Revealed by the Apostle Dr. Van Van Mojo as a specific counter to
the evil Curse of Greyface, the TURKEY CURSE is here passed on to
Erisians everywhere for their just protection.
The Turkey Curse works. It is firmly grounded on the fact that
Greyface and his followers absolutely require an Aneristic setting to
function and that a timely introduction of Eristic vibrations will
neutralize their foundation. The Turkey Curse is designed solely to
counteract _negative_ Aneristic vibes and if introduced into a neutral
or positive Aneristic setting (like a poet working out word rhythms)
it will prove harmless, or at worst, simply annoying. It is not
designed for use against negative _Eristic_ vibes, although it can be
used as an Eristic vehicle to introduce positive vibes into a
misguided Eristic setting. In this instance, it would be the
responsibility of the Erisian Magician to manufacture the positive
vibrations if results are to be achieved. CAUTION -- all magic is
powerful and requires courage and integrity on the part of magician.
This ritual, if misused, can backfire. Positive motivation is
essential for self-protection.
TO PERFORM THE TURKEY CURSE:

Take a foot stance as if you were John L. Sullivan preparing for
fisticuffs. Face the particular greyface you wish to short-circuit,
or towards the direction of the negative Aneristic vibration that you
wish to neutralize. Begin waving your arms in any elaborate manner
and make motions with your hands as though you were Mandrake feeling
up a sexy giantess. Chant, loudly and clearly:
GOBBLE, GOBBLE, GOBBLE, GOBBLE, GOBBLE!
The results will be instantly apparent.

it is important to understand the alphabet of desire, I think. Because no one is really in control of their emotions, their desires, their fears. None of that is truthfully under our control. The only thing we can really hold on to is the idea that true will wanders around the emotions like a toddler, moving from elation to depression to hate to fear to love to joy to sickness without any warning or care. That toddler is unaffected by emotions, and so, in truth, are we. They are a part of our physical world like the weather or the phases of the moon, they are like the topography of the space your soul wanders through, that shapes the direction of your actions but does not control them. And so, they are to be enjoyed. To stay in one place too long is atrophy and suicide. here is so much ground for the mind to walk in, it needs to stretch its legs.

The most important thing I learned from the alphabet of desire is the power of laughter. Laughter is its own opposite. Laughter is at the center of the wheel of emotions and is removed from them completely. There are times I've been depressed and suicidal and then something snaps and I begin to laugh, and laugh loudly and without restraint, laughter which is mercurial, upward rising. It is the easiest, most effective way to escape your mood. Emotions are transmuted instantly. Sure, anyone around you might think you're off your bloody rocker, but that only makes it funnier!

This is the most practical thing I've learned so far.

The malice of Choronzon is not the malice of a being; it is the quality of malice, because he that boasteth himself "I am I", hath in truth no self, and these are they that are fallen under my power, the slaves of the Blind One that boasted himself to be the Enlightened One. For there is no centre, nay, nothing but Dispersion.

-Aleister Crowley's invocation of the tenth Aethyr, Which is called Zax. Also known as Coronzon, Teloc-vovim (The Fallen Angel, the Dragon of Death), who is of the abyss.

A transcription is on the Don Tyson site.

ingredients for a wizards duel:
The game is played like the card game "War", with two major differences. The first is that each participant is given exactly the same cards. The second is that they can pick any card in their deck to play, not just the top card. The only other difference is that this is not a game of luck. This is a test of gnosis and spiritual power.

War, if you didn't know, is a simple game where each person puts down one card and the highest card wins them all. Run out of cards and you lose.

The easiest way to do this is to give each person the same range of cards. for a short game try 2 tthrough 6, five cards for each player. For a longer game maybe the 2 through 10. Even longer games can be played, but be prepared to lose several hours in the process.

I usually give a different suit to each player, just for visualization's sake.

Our games are usually played with each person's cards spread out in front of him. We usually play that the person who wins the last hand throws out first, but that really isn't important at all so use any rule you wish. What to do in case of a double is the tricky part. So far we havent come up with anything other than the standard War rule: put a number of cards face down (generally one, because the deck is so small) and the next card face up determines who gets the pile. That will stand until hopefully someone comes up with something better.

All your cards should all be shuffled at least every two hands, otherwise your mind, consciously or unconsciously, will start to guess where the cards are. Conscious awareness and rationale are the basis for other games, not this one. Do your best not to think at all and to know with your spiritual being, rather than your mind.

There is no need to spread the cards in front of you, either. Picking from the top of the deck works just as well. It is a matter of retroactive enchantment versus prescience. If you pick the top card, you need to influence your previous shuffle and the order of all the cards. If you pick from a spread of cards, it is more a matter of knowing which card will win. Either will work in the end, it just seems to me that a spread of cards is much easier.

At the basest level this is a game of luck, which is only a lay definition for all the things going on in other planes. On another level this is a game of attitude and intimidation, if you know you will win then you will win. On another level it is a game of prescience, seeing which cards are best to play. And it is a game of attack, cutting the opponent off from his own prescience, implanting failure in him. And is a game of gnosis and kia, of being filled with the non-rational energy that has the power to do anything. Then it is a game of creation, building favorable futures from many possibilities. Still higher it is a game of masters, altering the fabric of reality, as much together with your opponent in this creation as against him.

Gabriel as been accredited as the angel who selects souls from heaven to be birthed into the material world and spends the nine months as the child is being developed informing the new person of what he or she will need to know on Earth, only to silence the child before birth by pressing his finger onto the child's lips, thus producing the cleft below a person's nose.
